4. When making an outline one should first note the main heading then the sub heading s then you can now rearrange this heading until they are sensible to you

Activity three

In order to make muscle reading more useful in college there is a need to remove, add or revise some steps. The steps to be removed are those of reciting for it may interfere with other studying students especially when it is loud. Another step is that of underlining for it might end up destroying books in the college library a final step that has to be removed is that of outlining for it is unnecessary and time wasting. The steps that need revision are the review here it should be done more thoroughly so as not to be repeated countless times as it may waste the students time. Steps that need to be added are those of summary writing whereby one should write a summary to be used for review purposes.

After the study of this chapter I would approach my assignments by applying the muscle reading technique and following all the necessary steps to understand them better. Also the skills of speed reading would be applied. In terms of carrying out research I have learned how best to use the library resources like the internet and the librarians for my research.

The three most important suggestions for reading gained from this chapter are speed reading where one learns to improve reading speed. Another is muscle reading where one learns to improve reading skills and finally the power process of clearing ones mind before reading to make understanding better.
